What Causes Cellulite?
Cellulite is a problem most adult men and women experience, primarily women. 90% of women struggle with some form of cellulite on their bodies. Cellulite can form nearly anywhere, but most commonly is seen on the stomach, thighs, arms, and buttocks.
Cellulite is primarily caused when the connective strands or fibers that secure fat underneath the skin weaken and then stretch out. No longer tightly woven together, the connective fibers allow underlying fat to bulge through. This produces the appearance of rippled, dimpled skin often associated with cellulite.
Medical experts, however, believe there are other contributing factors to the appearance of cellulite. These factors include the deterioration of collagen and elastin, enlarged fat cells, loss of skin elasticity, poor blood circulation, fluid retention, and an accumulation of metabolic waste.
How Does Emtone Work?
Emtone targets the major causes of cellulite with a combination of mechanical targeted pressure energy, also known as acoustic waves, and Radio frequency energy (RF).
During an Emtone treatment, the RF energy and acoustic waves penetrate the skin’s surface, disrupting fat cells and heating the deep layers of skin tissue. The energy causes numerous physiological responses. It causes the fibers to contract and tighten. This stimulates tissue remodeling by initiating the production of collagen. Emtone also triggers the body’s healing mechanism, increasing blood circulation and the removal of metabolic waste. The actions combine to reduce the appearance of cellulite, allowing the skin to smooth out and look more rejuvenated.
Emtone Treatment Actions
In treating cellulite with dual energies, Emtone targets all of the major causes of cellulite. Physiological treatment responses include:
- Shrunken fat cells
- Collagen production and tissue remodeling
- Improved skin elasticity
- Improved blood circulation
- Removal of metabolic waste
Emtone Treatment Areas
Cellulite can form nearly everywhere on the body. However, the most common areas to fall victim to cellulite are the legs and buttocks. Emtone treatments can be performed on the following areas:
- The upper arms
- Stomach area
- Front of thighs
- Inner thighs
- Back of thighs
- Love handles
- Buttocks
Emtone Treatments and Results
Many Emtone patients report improvements in cellulite reduction after one treatment. However, the majority of patients receive four treatments, spaced a few days to one week apart. The 8-20 minute treatment is virtually painless and requires no downtime afterward. Patients typically see an improvement in skin dimpling within weeks of the procedure, with continual enhancements lasting several months. As with all cosmetic treatments, results will vary.*
Emtone Treatment in Scientific Literature
Emtone treatments are known as one of the first and only cellulite treatments capable of addressing all causes of skin dimpling. Dr. Dendy Engelman, a dermatologist, said: “Up until now, the treatment of cellulite has been extremely challenging as there hasn’t been an effective solution or one without downtime. I’m thrilled to now have EMTONE to offer as it fills the existing void in cellulite treatments.”
Certain clinical studies show that Emtone results are 64% more effective than other standalone cellulite treatments at building elastin, 59% more effective in building collagen, 44% increase in skin thickness, and 50% faster than standalone treatments, an impressive 90% patient satisfaction rate.
Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank, the founder of PFRANKMD, says this about Emtone: “EMTONE sets an entirely new standard for the treatment of cellulite…there has never been a non-invasive cellulite treatment that has shown such high levels of patient satisfaction within the industry. Not only do patients experience better results, but they also see results faster than existing protocols.”
